BOONEVILLE - Ellis Kizer, 100, died Wednesday, March 5, 2008, at Baptist Hospital in Booneville after a long illness. He was a member of Hills Chapel Church of Christ and a veteran of World War II. He was a schoolteacher and an employee of Ford Motor Company. He served as the Prentiss County tax assessor for two terms.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Rodney Livingston officiating. Burial will be in the Booneville Cemetery.
Survivors include two brothers, Clifford H. Kizer (Nancy) of Corinth and Milton Kizer (Annette) of Florence, Ala.; several nieces and nephews; a lifelong friend, William L. McKinney of Booneville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford Gaines and Mable Clara Elledge Kizer; his wife, Annie Lee Pounds Kizer; a Sister, Mildred Morrow; and two brothers, Jim and Elliot Kizer.
Pallbearers will be the men of Hills Chapel Church of Christ.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to service time today at the funeral home.
